The Wildcats play the Georgia Bulldogs tonight in Athens. Last week, I saw this game on the schedule and was cautious. It had the makings of a trap. The Dawgs (13-14) are 4-0 at home against the other teams in the SEC East (the good division), but with the Tennessee game Saturday, I feel confident a W is in hand.

Home Venue: Officially Stegeman Coliseum, but will always be known to UK fans as "The Tub" for Orlando "Tubby" Smith.
Key thoughts: Stegeman is another poorly lit facility. Kentucky emphasised shooting this week, and with that they should hopefully lite the place up.

Best Player: Trey Thompkins - Aptly named, Trey shoots 42% from 3, leads the Dawgs in points (17.9) and rebounds (8.1)

Key thoughts: Matching up against Cousins or Patterson, expect the D on him to be the key of the game.

 
Player to Watch: Travis Leslie - Leslie averages a manly 14.4 a game and 6.8 boards.
Key Thoughts: Kentucky struggles against short, quick guard play. At 6'4" expect a battle at the guard position, but Wall and Bledsoe should be able to answer.

Hope he gets to play: Matt Bucklin, at 6 mins on the season, if Bucklin plays, either the Dawgs or Cats had a really, really bad night.
Key Thoughts: Cousins better keep his actions in check, as Bucklin may be the secret weapon. On Georgia Player Profile page, under Previous Affiliations, Bucklin has "Pope" listed

Mascot: Russ - The five-year-old half-brother of Uga VII is filling in after the death of Uga VII. UGA VII died from heart failure at the age of two.
Key Thoughts: I'm sure Russ is just glad UGA VII isnt around to witness the Dawgs football or basketball season.
