The United States National Basketball Writers Association named John Wall the Freshman of the Year. This is his fiftieth award as a Kentucky Wildcat.
His only other real competition was his own teammates, DeMarcus Cousins and Eric Bledsoe. The three freshmen have been dynamic for the Wildcats all season and I would have been fine with any of the three getting the award. Go Cats.
