Louisville Can Breathe a Little Easier

Can anybody guess who this young man is? Here are some hints: He coached in the SEC, he has coached in the pros, he currently coaches in the Big East and he allegdly has STDs. Obviously this picture is pre-STDs.

A couple of quick things and I am done for the day. I promise.

Louisville and Marquette are both in as of today according to this ESPN article. I would think that if Louisville loses to Marquette on Tuesday then there will be a little doubt but not much. The main thing hurting the Cards is there terrible records against ranked teams. They are 7-9 against the top 100 and 3-6 against the RIP top 50. Ouch. Still, a winning record in the Big East should do it.

No questions for the Cats' tourney hopes. They are in like Pitino was in Karen Sypher's... ok that's going a little too far. There are questions whether or not they will be a one seed. Right now the one seed is a lock. What they need to do in order to get a #2 or even a #3 seed is to drop games to craptastic Georgia and the iffy Gators and then have a one and out SEC tourney performance. But we all know that won't happen. Not with the Boogie Man, John Wall and Pat Pat in the game. We hope.

Right now the Big 12 is leading the way with 7 locks already in the tourney. Seven! You have got to be kidding me. That's a little excessive to have 7 locks at this point. But then again, they don't have any bubble teams. Seven will get in and no other teams are in question.

Lastly, how about the once mighty ACC? Only 3 locks for the conference boasting the programs of Duke, UNC, Maryland, Wake Forrest and so on and so forth. Good! Finally the ACC is exposed as a crap conference. I know like me, you are sick and tired of the ESPN bias towards the ACC. I know we are sick of Dicky V discussing Duke NO MATTER who he is actually covering. I know we are sick of Bob Knight also discussing how great Duke is every chance he gets. And how about the fact that two of ESPN's College Gameday analysts are affiliated with the ACC. Hubert Davis: UNCS. Jay Bilas: Duke. I hope the ACC sucks for a long time to come, that way we can all be saved from the talk of Duke and UNC being the greatest sports rivalry in the history of the universe. Gag.
