The controversial senator from Kentucky is making headlines again for his stance denying COBRA and unemployment benefits for millions of Americans. The article mentions his Kentucky/South Carolina rant as well as his "tough sh*t" comment.
There is a hilarious video of a reporter trying to get into an elevator with Bunning. Bunning exclaims, "This elevator is for senators only!" Then, Mr. Bunning, what are you doing in the elevator?
So we don't bash Bunning too bad, here are his career stats. He was one helluva pitcher and one crappy senator.
I think in this picture he is referring to something else that happened to him once.

ReplyDeleteBunning has a good argument he is just not making it very well in his "UK v South Carolina" defense. He just wants to know how we are going to pay for the billions of dollars in unemployment.
ReplyDeleteBesides, when its said an done he will get some sort of kickback for the state of KY for going along with this. A win-win for kentucky, we get the unemployment increase and he gets more money in pork barrel spending for KY - maybe it'll help pay for those "bridges".
I say we just legalize casino boat gambling and slot machines.
ReplyDeleteAs for Bunning: i agree with some of what he says. he is just receiving backlash from his comments. I'm not sure if the story would be that big of a deal if he hadn't made such stupid comments.
I think the story is getting more attention than it normally would because he is acting like an asshole, not so much because of his position.
