USA Today has released their predictions about how the Big East Conference will look at the end of the year. All the way at the top is Pittsburgh while last year's best teams, Syracuse and West Virginia, are #3 and #4 respectively. But that is not what is on your mind. You want to know where the Dirty Birds are predicted to finish. And the answer is...#8 ahead of UConn and Cincinnati.
The Cards are predicted to finish 2 spots down from last year. They made the tournament after finishing 6th. Now with the expanded NCAA tournament, the Cards could still get in, even if they finish at 8. But I have a sneaking suspicion that 8 might be too high. I am thinking more like the 10-12 range. They are depleated in the size department and the in the talent department. It might be a long year for the Cards.
