This week was huge for recruiting (duh). Saturday is going to be huge as well. Tomorrow is the 2010 Jordan Classic basketball game and four of the players there are Kentucky recruits. Doron Lamb, Josh Selby, CJ Leslie and Terrence Jones will all be playing and two of them, Lamb and Selby, are going to announce their commitments.
When asked about Kentucky and Calipari, Lamb had this to say: "Coach Calipari is good with guards. He knows what to do with them." The 6-foot-four shooting guard declined to comment on where he is leaning. Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, West Virginia and UConn are the schools that he is considering. He would fit in great at UK and many think that he will join Brandon Knight and Enes Kanter as freshmen at Kentucky.
Point guard Josh Selby has Kentucky, Kansas, Arizona, UConn and Tennessee listed as his schools. He also declined to comment but he said he should know where he wants to go by Friday night. Kansas has been thought to be the school leading for Selby and with Knight, who is also a top ranked point guard, committing to Kentucky this week, many believe that Kansas has become the overwhelming favorite.
Terrence Jones is still holding steady to the decision to make his announcement on April 29th or 30th. The power forward would give Kentucky the size that it lost with the departure of Patrick Patterson, DeMarcus Cousins and Daniel Orton. Enes Kanter has already filled a huge gap in the middle of the court.
We will keep you posted on the decisions made this Saturday.
