Butler. The Cardinals will open up their new arena with their first game coming against the National Champion runners-up. Duke was rumored to be the team Pitino wanted to play but since they didn't get the Champs, they went after the next best thing. This will (not) be an epic match up.

ReplyDeleteYou know, the Cards could have always scheduled a team from the SEC, but they wanted a challenge to kick off the best arena in college basketball.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I checked the SEC had more teams in the Elite Eight than the Big East. Last time I checked the Big East pulled a Big Choke job in the NCAA tournament and was WAY overrated. The last time I checked the SEC has just as many National titles in the past decade and have more in the past 20 years than the mighty Big East. Your conference is overrated.
