Boom goes the dynamite
It's Thunder over Louisville and while that normally means clouds, rain, or (we all remember the) snow. However, today it's beautiful low 60s and sunny. So since Boogie's in Chicago and I'll be joining the 600,000 to 750,000 people at the waterfront this afternoon, here's a look at the uncovered Jordan Brand Classic and some more news: - Just like the one time the doctor told me, "I don't think it's serious but we should take a closer look at your Enes" the NCAA still wants to take a closer look at Enes Kanter before he's cleared to play. It has to do with his amateur status.
- Jordan Brand Classic is tonight. The game's on ESPN2 at 7:00pm Eastern so catch a look at the UK targets. Lamb and Selby are said to announce their college decisions after the first timeout.
- Michael Chandler a 2011 five star center committed to Louisville says he still is, but is open to other schools recruiting him - that is a collective GULP from the Card followers.
- Marquis Teague will announce his decision to play college basketball April 22nd. The only problem is that while other major recruits have all seemed predictable, it seems like Teague is a toss up. Right now sources have him at 60% Louisville 40% Kentucky. We've heard these numbers change drastically over the last 3-4 weeks so Tuesday should be the nail bitter.
- The Cards had their Red White scrimmage last night. I didn't see it, but someone at the Courier-Journal did. Apparently, they looked ... Strong.
- And finally I will try not to take a shot at Karen Sypher (... AHH that was tough) or UL when I say, prosecutors are objecting the request to move the Karen Sypher trial out of Louisville. The Defense thinks the pretrial media will make it difficult to find a fair jury. Wheeew... I made it, but boy that was hard (THAT'S WHAT KAREN SYPHER SAID!!!... crap).
I am actually excited about the Sypher trial. It will give us a UofL topic worth writing about. ZING!
