The Magic Lose...Finally

Rajon Rondo was not as Rondiforous as he has been lately but he didn't need to be. The star of the second round of the playoffs had only 8 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists. Small numbers compared to what he was putting up in the previous series. His geriatric teammates came to play in game one in order to deal the Orlando Magic their first loss of the entire playoffs.

Ray Allen was big time with 25 points and Paul Pierce was as well with 22 points. Rasheed Wallace added 13 points off of the bench. The 92-88 final score was looking like a laugher until the second half when the Magic made a huge run and stifled the Cletics offense. Vince Carter and Jameer Nelson put the team on their backs in an effort to come back from as much as 20 points down but it was too little too late.

Carter and Nelson combined for 43 points. Ex Dukie and current Douche Bag JJ Reddick sparked the comeback with 9 points off of three made 3-point attempts. Dwight Howard had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds but was far from dominant.

The key to the game was the defense of Boston. They have become defensive stoppers in the playoffs and yesterday was no different. The Magic were winning games by an average of 25 points in the playoffs. Teams were unable to guard the 3 or guard Howard. The Celtics did both. Boston looks like the team that won the whole thing 2 years ago and now have home court advantage. The Magic are not out. Look for a big game from them to rebound on Tuesday night.
