Kareem agrees with me, Cal and LeBron rumors abound and Stevie Little Stacks is a Crook

The greatest athlete cameo in a movie. Ever.
There is surprisingly a lot going on dealing with college basketball today so let's not fool around and let's get down to business:
  • NBA legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar thinks that the one and done rule sucks. Abdul Jabbar wants the rule to state that players must be 21 in order to enter into the NBA, much like it was when he played. He was a collegiate athletic legend, graduated with degrees in English and in history, led the Lakers to 5 NBA titles in the 80's, was a consistent All-Star, and is the all time leader in points in the NBA. I think whatever Mr. Abdul-Jabbar says has some credence to it. He also played in the movie Airplane which is his greatest accomplishment.
  • Rick Bozich wrote an article today outlining the reasons why the combination of John Calipari/LeBron James as a player/coach is a match made in heaven. One of our loyal readers mentioned on this blog yesterday that she heard this rumor on a local sports radio program. 1) I don't think LeBron is tanking games on purpose in order to get out of The Cleve now. If he were to do that then why wait to do it in the playoffs when it matters the most? Why not save himself the trouble of playing the extra games and tank it during the regular season. I think the guy is genuinely injured; 2). I am not going to dispute the Cal rumors, but that's what it is, rumors. It's no secret the two are BFF's and it's no secret that John Calipari is the hottest name in all of coaching, pro's or college. All we can do as Kentucky fans is wait and see.
  • The coaches that run The University of Louisville basketball program are crooked. Steve Masiello, aka Stevie Little Stacks, is accused of stealing over $50,000 dollars that was meant to purchase Derby and Oaks tickets. He has alleged involvement with convicted con man Stephen Netherton in the scam. There are more investigations ongoing in order to charge Little Stacks with any wrong doing, but as for right now it is not looking good. Mr. Stacks still has to account for the missing $50,000 and so far has not denied any of the charges. He hasn't said anything at all. He learned from the best, Ricky 3 Stacks. The black eye of Syphergate now compounded with this does not look good for the morals and the values of the program. Way to go Tom Jurich. Let's hope Coach Strong is as good as everybody seems to think he is in order to take the focus off the mess that the basketball program is right now.
  • And finally, former University of Louisville basketball player Kenny Payne looks to be headed to Lexington to work under John Calipari. He could be filling in a spot that may be vacated by Tony Delk or the embattled Rod Strickland. Welcome to the Big Brother Land, Kenny! You are welcomed with open arms!

  4. Even though I would like to take credit for the DT's review, I did not write it. Actually, a former author on this site wrote it. Monster - just to think if you had left him set up as an author you would have this lovely review of DT's Bar and Grill posted on your website.
