No matter what Calipari says or does it looks as if these damned rumors are not going to stop until LeBron James FINALLY decides what he wants to do. That means that we are going to have at least 6 more weeks of this stuff. Now there are rumors that William Wesley is trying to convince the Bulls, the Nets and the Clippers to get Cal and James in a package deal.
The story is full of "unknown connections" and "secret league sources". I feel like this is an episode of Mission: Impossible. I feel like the more that this story is talked about the more Calipari will get fed up and the more UK fans will go into freak out mode.
Big Blue Nation: Stop freaking out. Cal has said he is staying, he is still hot on the recruiting trail and he is looking to extend his contract. I would start worrying if he starts saying that he is "open to ideas" or that "he would welcome a new opportunity". So far he has not used any evasive language. He has stated that he will be the coach at Kentucky next season.
Another red flag would be if LeBron starts talking about Cal specifically. So far he has stayed mum on where he wants to be and has not mentioned any coaches. Once Cal is named, then you can freak out a bit. Until then, it's all speculation. We hope.
