Happy Anniversay Rick Pitino!

It was this day 13 years ago that slick Rick Pitino packed his backs and left the bluegrass of Lexington for the greener cash of Boston. Pitino spent 1997-2001 with the Celtics where he unsuccessfully went 102–146 during his second stint in the NBA.

Ricks lack of success during his time with Boston led to one famous blowup after a loss against the Toronto Raptors that summed up his time with the team:
Larry Bird is not walking through that door, fans. Kevin McHale is not walking through that door, and Robert Parish is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through that door, they're going to be gray and old...People don't realize that, and as soon as they realize those three guys are not coming through that door, the better this town will be for all of us.
A championship never came through that door either, so Rick moved back to college and has enjoyed moderate success again in the collegiate levels.

Happy anniversary Rick. We missed you when you left, but loathe you since you've been gone.
