Too soon NBA Power Rankings and Fredrick Paterson

Houston Rocket's newest Rookie Sensation: Fredrick Paterson

Everybody probably thinks that the Miami Heat are number one due to Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. But it isn't so! The Lakers are at the top of the mountain and the Heat are number 2. The odds of the Lakers winning are 11/4 and the odds for the Heat are 7/4. I guess that the boys in Vegas have their own power rankings. Here is the enitre list.

A surprising tidbit I learned is that the Heat acquired former Wildcat Jamal Magloire to fill up some space in the middle. A big time center is all that Miami is really missing. Bosh can play center but is more of a power forward and likes to make things happen from the outside in.

And what about the Draft Cats? The Rockets are at number 10 but what is confusing to me is that the person who created this list listed Patrick Patterson as rookie Fredrick Patterson. Who in the blue hell is Fredrick Paterson? As a small time blogger I make mistakes on a consistent basis. But here's the deal: this guy is a writer for NBC sports and gets paid money to do this. There are no excuses for mess ups like that. Here is the roster for the Rockets to prove that there is no such person as Fredrick Paterson. Despite this, 2 Pat should see some big minutes and should be a hustle guy like fellow Cat Chuck Hayes.

Boogie's Kings are next in line at number 20. The article does in fact get his name right and mentions that he and Tyreke Evans should make a formidable pair. Clippers come in at 23 and Bledsoe is mentioned as a good pick up. It is also mentioned that Baron Davis does not play well with others and doesn't play hard all 82 games. Bledsoe should possibly see some significant clock.

Wall's Wizards come in at 24 and praise for Wall is high. What is questioned is his turnovers and his ability to actually slow down a bit. Wall's super speed has the ability to hinder him as much as it sets him a part. It will be fun or tragic to watch what ensues between him and Gilbert "Bang Bang" Arenas.

The Cavs fell aaaalllllllll the way down to last place thanks to the departure of the King. They have gone from title contenders to a rebuilding project in a matter of a month. It's ok Cleveland, Samardo Samuels is on the way!

P.S. I know I skipped Daniel Orton. It was on purpose. He is playing behind Superman Howard and Gortat. He isn't seeing the floor.
