ESPN Talks DeAndre Daniels

This has NOTHING to do with this story but this must seem like 1,000,000 years ago for Louisville fans. Oh yeah, this was the year when Woodson tossed that bomb to Stevie Johnson. It's about to be 4 in a row Dirty Birds.

ESPN has FINALLY classified the Daniels reclassified situation. He had an ill relative that caused him to miss much of his junior year but he took night classes (huh? you can do that in high school?) and made up whatever he missed. Now he has a diploma and is looking to provide a team with his services. Which team? Good question. I wrote earlier he is going to Cal and UCLA this weekend for visits but all signs are pointing towards the Cats. Duh. The players are lining up to get to Lexington.

More on this story sooner than later.

  2. Boogie, find me an ESPN or SI cover that features even one UK football player, and post that baby. Until then, keep hating on Cardinal football, because your envy is starting to show.

  3. louavulfan35... yes, the second half. I am pretty sure Jarred Lorenzon still gets in during the second half of the preseason games... and as of last year Woodson was a 2nd half preseason player too. It is meaningless... Brohm might be in the UFL after this preseason too...

And here is a UK cover... similar careers but Brohm has always been the #2 or well, as we saw in Green Bay the #3 http://i.cdn.turner.com/sivault/si_online/covers/images/1999/0419_mid.jpg

  5. Monster, thanks for going back 11 years and showing a player who was no longer on UK. I should have rephrased my request for an SI or ESPN cover that features a UK football player in their uniform and is playing on the team during that season.

And while we're on old SI covers, check out this beauty: http://www.vintageadsandstuff.com/viewsi052989.jpeg

  6. I'm not hating on Cards football because I'm envious, what's to be envuious about 3 suck seasons of losing and no bowl games? I'm hating on Cardinal football for one reason and one reason only: it sucks. September 4th cannot get here soon enough.

    Check out this cover!

The Cats nabbed two covers in one year. When's the last time Louisville did that? Hmmmm...Never!

  7. Okay Boogie, I know you're a teacher and all, but let's work on some reading comprehension! I asked for an SI or ESPN cover that featured even one single UK FOOTBALL player in their uniform for that current season. I've yet to see one.

Thanks for the two covers of UK basketball players, but you get an "F" for this test. Which is very similar to Cousins' grades for the Spring Semester!

  8. Basketball covers were nabbed by none other than Twill a total of 3 times....the same guy 3 times....so you fail that test as well....tsk tsk tsk

  9. But was it in the same year though?

And you should ask one of our co-workers what the Louisville football team was doing at Prime on Saturday night with JR Smith and Larry Obannon. It sounds like the football team needs to pay a little more attention to coach Strong's 5 pillars of virtue.
