This could be UK's newest power forward in 2011.
One thing is for certain and that is recruiting never stops. A name that Cats and Cards fans should get to know well is Johnny O'Bryant. The 17 year old power forward is 6-10, 245 pounds, the number 36 rated player in 2011, and has 11 scholarship offers.
He lists Kentucky as a major contender and Louisville recently "jumped in". I just emailed the young man our coverage of the Sypher trial so any interest in Louisville will be short lived.
This is what he had to say about the Cats:
"Kentucky is just Kentucky. They put players in the league each and every year, first rounders, the lottery. Coach Cal is a great coach and the fans support Kentucky so much."
Sounds promising, doesn't it? Now, let's see what he had to say about the Dirty Cards:
"We'll have to see."
What I gather from that is this: He is interested in going to UK, like seriously interested. I predict that he will take a visit this year, see Michael Gilchrist and Marquis Teague there, see the potential of 2011 and he will have UK in his top 2 final choices. As for Louisville: they probably sent him some information in the mail, he looked at it, threw it in a pile and will never look at it again. Pitino may call him on the phone but he will hang up because his mother told him to never talk to sexual deviants. Go Cats!
