Why early season polls don't matter

Kentucky fell from 10th to 13th in the ESPN/USA Today poll this week. This after a dominating win against a East Tennessee State team that made the NCAA tournament last year. But I say, to hell with the polls. Besides, we all know that the only time you need a poll is when you're a fireman, stripper, or in bed with Boogiewoogie. Need proof?

Nine of the top 11 teams in the first AP poll last year finished in top 25 while only 11 of the top 25 finished in the 25.

So there you have it. Preseason polls don't mean jack. The top stay in the top and the last 15, well the AP has no clue. With that, this is the top 25 now, with my markers of the teams that I don’t think will finish there by the end of the year.
