JaMarcus Russell was released from the Raiders earlier this spring. He was released from jail earlier this morning on $2,500 bond after being arrested for possession of a controlled substance - codeine syrup. On his $36.4 million in salaries paid by Oakland over Russell's career, he can afford a few more fines, but a felony conviction carries a harsher penalty of imprisonment.
Considered one of the biggest bust in NFL Draft History, he completed just 52.1 percent of his passes in his career with 18 touchdowns, 23 interceptions, 15 lost fumbles and a passer rating of 65.2.
