Kentucky vs Florida Sub-Plots

Kentucky faces Florida at 9:00pm in Gainesville on Saturday. That means not only will Kentucky be playing on the road, where they have fared less than favorably this season, but they will be playing a conference rival. But like any good movie, in this game there is the plot of Kentucky vs Florida and then there are sub plots:

The Predator Returns: After testing NBA waters, the braided one seeks revenge against the Wildcats, which not only beat him and his Gators twice last year, but the 5 draft Cats contributed to his failure to an early professional career after flooding the 1st round. The Predator will seek to retaliate against the new crop of Cats that will play Danny Glover, yes making last years team Arnold Shwarzenegger. GET TO THE CHOPPA!

The Nutty Professor: The 4.0 GPA Brandon Knight will return to his home state to play his second choice in college teams. Unfortunately for Florida, unlike an Eddie Murphy movie, you are only allowed to play one role at a time and Knight is a role player for the Cats. Knight is averaging 17.2 ppg and 40% from 3. He looks to teach the Gators a lesson or two.

About a Boy-nton: As both Florida point guard Kenny Boynton and Kentucky's Brandon Knight hail from District 14 in South Florida, they regularly competed against each other in high school. Knight, a top prospect in 2010 and Boynton, a top 10 guard in 2009, find themselves competing for top honors in the SEC. With a win, Kentucky pulls closer to the top of the SEC East and Knight clarifies his role of owning Boynton.

Indiana Terrence Jones and the Temple of Doom: The Cats have lost 5 games on the road this season and they enter Gainesville coming off a horrible loss at Ole Miss. Docta Terrence Jones will need to snap the spell in order to save the day and come out of the tough situation with a much needed W. Look for him to hit his season average 17 ppg and help push the Cats onto a win.
