According to Marc Maggard's Twitter Enes Kanter is cleared to practice with the Wildcats and there will be a decision made by the end of the month. Calipari just found out as Enes was gearing up to go. Here is some more news via Maggard. No, Big Enes will not be playing Friday but this is the best news to come in a long time.
What can we gather from this? It seems that the fact that Enes can practice will bode well for the Cats and for him. If the NCAA was going to deny his eligibility then why let him practice? I would speculate that the NCAA is deciding on a number of games he will miss, if any at all. Twitter is abuzz with Kanter news from KSR, Gary Parrish and loads of other sources. It seems something is really happening.
And onto some other player news. It seems that Eloy Vargas is at least practicing today after the death of his father in the Dominican Republic. It is unclear if he will play tomorrow. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
Go Cats
FREE ENES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on Enes...it's looking good for him.
